Week of May 20 - 24Dear Parents & Students!
Oh no! Only 4 days of schools left! Topics this week: Market Day: This week students will be wrapping up what they have learned this year by working hard on their Market Day projects. Students who finish working on their products to sell will be working on creating commercials, posters, billboards, etc. to help advertise for their business. Students will also participate in a market analysis in order to decide how to price their items. REMEMBER: The big day is May 22nd. This is the day students will open their stores and sell their goods. We have been finished our novel, Lawn Boy. We reviewed reading standards, (point of view, character traits, setting, theme, main idea and details, etc.). While reading this book students learned about how the economy works. Reminders:

Topics this week: Reading, Writing, and Grammar: We will have a final reading test this week on reading comprehension skills. Market Day: As you may have heard, we are starting a new project! A letter was sent home on Friday about our upcoming Market Day project. We have been reading a novel called, Lawn Boy. While we have been reviewing reading standards, (point of view, character traits, setting, theme, main idea and details, etc.) we have also been learning about how the economy works. Students will create a product to sell for "Dolvin Dollars." Teachers have already been handing these out for good behavior. Students will also have the opportunity to buy products if they wish. After reading the letter, please let me know if you have any questions. Our Market Day Yard Sale will be May 22nd. Reminders:
